Mararikulam trip

11 of us- sharath, fido, kishore, reuben, roshan, ajin,sherin (chechi), jason (ammini), aju,oommachen (rino), and rijo (oommachens older bro) left for mararikulam around 11 am in kishores and oommachens cars. Of course we didnt know it was called mararikulam beach. We only knew of it as the beach we went to in first year. As a result we went somewhere we never intended to go at first and ended up in some place where the pedestrians said there was no beach nearby at all. After some phone calls, we concluded that it was chethi beach we went to in 1st year. But since the people there said mararikulam was better we went there. When we got there we realized this was in fact the 1 we went to in 1st yr.

Since it was still very sunny, we decided to go and have lunch first. We had lunch at a number one place.

Then we came back in high spirits and from then on it really started.










We were just lounging in the water when we saw a vallam (canoe) with an indian flag.The fishermen were trying to push it inshore. Naturally we went to help the indian flag bearers. Heres a video of our effort. This video is presented by our own ammini in real bbc-cnn style.

After our hard work, we decided to relax by playing frisbee & swimming in the shallow waters

We came back around 6.30-7 stopped at thanneer mukkam bund on the way. Ummachen was walking around wearing a thorthe and executive shirt with his brother begging him to wear pants or go back to the car. Of course reuben wasnt wearing pants at all but at least he didnt venture much from the car. Those pics will be posted in the restricted section.
