How to view the blog through your orkut profile

Most of our readers view the blog using orkut. However most dont know how to add it to their profiles, so they visit it through others profiles. This will tell you how to add the blog to ur orkut homepage and read it through orkut itself.

Step 1: In your orkut home page, click the edit button to the side of applications in the left margin, under your photo as shown in this screenshot (click to view bigger image)













Step 2: In the next page that comes, click my feeds as shown (circled in red)









Step 3: In the next page that comes, type in or copy paste www.renegadzx.blogspot.com and click add (as shown in this pic, circled in red)







Congratulations! Now you've added the blog to ur profile.

Step 4: In your homepage or profile, check the extreme left of the page, under your profile photo. You ll see a red button called renegades. Click that as shown in this pic.












Step 5: Thats it. Now you can read the blog right through your orkut profile. So can others visiting your profile. However you will not be able to read or write comments written on the posts, search older posts for people you know, use opinion polls, etc. To see all the content and features of the blog, click view website (circled in red) or go to www.renegadzx.blogspot.com











P.S: Our stupid college has blocked blogs with their firewall, so you may be blocked from going to the site directly if you're online through the college network. However you will be able to view the blog through orkut, even though images may be blocked.

note to authors

while posting a new blog entry try to add a photo or video if available.u can set the size of the photo or video.and theres a small box called labels at the bottom of the blog compose box.add laabels to the post.right now i have made 3 labels about the blog, photos and prologue.prologue is the first entry in the blog.sort of an introduction.i put that labels so that even after many entries it will be easy to find that entry.so dont type prologue as the label for any other post except if its a continuation.if u add a photo put photos as a label.if theres a video put video.if there are several labels like maybe photos and videos just type photos,videos. labels help to make a sort of index of contents.so if v label photos every time.v can find all the photos by clicking teh label photos ok?

for example im putting the label about the blog for this post.as it has instructions on runing the blog

prologue

Last night I (sharath c george) was sitting in a bus headed back home from Bangalore staring out at the rain lashing against the windows and leaning back in my seat with absolutely nothing to do.the Volvo's wiper had gone bust and when they tried to repair it at the service station for 45 minutes, they ended up fixing the wiper but busting the TV. So no TV.since i was late as usual while packing for the trip i forgot to take my mp3 player.my phone was busted too so had mom's "torch" phone which by the way was running out of battery charge.so with nothing to do i started thinking about blogging.my cousin sis had started a blog abt her kids which got me thinking.i had been wanting to blog for a long time but hadn't coz i didn't care to make an online journal abt my deepest thoughts.but then i got this idea...y not make one about our gang of friends... what v r up to,our never ending jokes and parties.i already had memories to last a lifetime from just two yrs with the best friends i had ever had or can hope to have.but i feared that memories would fade someday.so i decided on making the blog.but then came the practical problems.ours is an unusual gang with numbers reaching up to at least 70 or 80 or god knows what.no1 ever took a head count and most of the guys in all branches of our year in college hang together.though v all constantly hear everybody's stories it just isn't possible for 1 guy to blog it all.also it would be pretty lame to have just my perspective about what such a huge gang does and says.so i thought i d find a way to add multiple authors.OK so what abt stuff v want on the blog, yet don't want any1 to read.so i decided to make another blog, a sort of add on to this one which contains highly interesting,funny,controversial yet private stuff.We could add comments and links to the restricted section from normal posts so that members can access more stuff by signing in with a user id and password.sounds like a plan. With these exciting plans brewing in my mind i pull the curtains closed over the sight of an endless chain of headlights on the highway ,recline my seats with a smile and close my eyes.....
